I may by Colonial Regulations be allowed to retire on a pension
should I desire then to do so.

period of more than 28 years employment in the permanent service of
the Crown.

The Leeward Islands. Bere I first received per- -manent employment, as Solocitor-General, in June, 1978. I had immediately previously acted as Attorney-General for ten months relinquishing for "that purpose my seats as an elected member of the local Legislative Assembly of Antiqua, and of the General Legislative Assembly of the Leeward Islands respectively. During the term of my appointment in the Leeward Islands 1 acted as Attorney-General several times, I was an official member of the local Legislative Ecdies of the Islands of Antigua, St. Kitts, and Dominica respectively, a J.P. and Visiting Justice of the Common Prisen for the Leeward Islands, one of the frusteep of the Public Library, and from time to time served on various cublic bodies and committees. In 1883 I was specially appointed a member of the Federal Executive Council, and is that year 1 acted as Colonial Secretary for three months (without additional way) performing at the same time my duties as Acting Attorney-General.
4. Fiji and the western Pacific High Commission. appointment to Fiji was as Attorney-General, dating from 21st.
